Sofia’s 2025 budget is 2.84 billion leva. While the figure seems massive, the city actually has only 200–300 million leva available to tackle its problems. 2.2 billion leva are earmarked for salaries, leaving the rest as free funds.
At the same time, the municipality collects over 40 million leva from paid parking lots. We are investigating where this money is going.
